Kids DJ Host Parties at Chorley Village Hall
The venue comprises a large hall (15 x 7.5) metres, a committee room (3.3 x4.1 metres), a kitchen (3.7 x 4.1 metres) and suitable toilet facilities.
The Large Hall has a polished wooden floor. The walls are papered. There are four, large, south facing windows providing excellent lighting to the hall. There are curtains to these windows. It is equipped with about 100 upholstered, stacking chairs, which are easily transported from storage on special trolleys. There are 18 large, plastic topped, beechwood effect, “Go pak” tables (6 x 2 feet) and 16 smaller, matching tables (4 x 2 feet). The room is centrally heated by four radiators. There are 12 power points, spaced around the walls. There is portable
staging up to 16 x 8 feet. There is a large projection screen (7 x 7 feet) and blinds are available to allow daytime projection.
The Committee Room has a vinyl floor, is centrally heated, well lit and has several power points.
The Kitchen has a stove with electric grill and oven, and four gas burners There is a double sink supplied with hot and cold water. There is a large, electric water boiling urn. Cupboards contain crockery and cutlery for about 60 place settings. A serving hatch provides access to the large hall.
Toilets are provided for ladies, gentlemen and the disabled.
Disabled Access
The hall is all on one level. There is no step at the front door and there is a ramp to the rear of the building. We have a separate disabled persons toilet.
Safety First
The building has been fire risk assessed to comply with the latest regulations. There are suitably marked emergency exits. It is ILLEGAL to smoke in the Hall.
Plenty of Parking
There are marked parking spaces for about 38 cars.
Hall Availability
You can hire the hall by the hour. Please contact for prices. There is a FREE 1/2 hour before your booked session to set up your event and a FREE 1/2 hour after your function, to enable you to leave the Hall as you found it.
Party Times
The Hall is open for bookings from 9am to 1130pm, Monday to Saturday. Sunday bookings are at the discretion of the Hall Committee.
Where is CVH?
The Hall is situated on the B5085, Knutsford Road, Chorley, Alderley Edge SK9 7SF.
The Post Code does not take you to the Hall, enter 84,Knutsford Road in your Sat Nav. It is on the right hand side, just over 1/4 mile beyond the B5086 junction, towards Mobberley and Knutsford.
Commitment to You
The Committee are very proud of the Hall and wish to keep it in its pristine condition. We would be grateful if users could please leave the hall as clean and tidy as they found it. The floor will last a little longer if tables, chairs and equipment are not dragged about. Please do not use drawing pins, sellotape or blue-tac on the walls and the decoration will last. Remember that it is your Hall. It is held in trust for the people of Chorley and its surrounding towns and villages.
